Ways to Get Work Outside of the Freelancing Marketplace
Only 23% of all jobs available online from around the world are found in current freelancing marketplaces. Then I will try to write in this episode about where the rest of the jobs are available, who gives them and how you can get these jobs.
1) Social Media: As we common people use social media sites regularly, the president of the country or other big people or owners of big companies also access these sites regularly. That's why a lot of work is available from these places too. There are a lot of jobs available especially from Linkedin. Every day people around the world are looking for different jobs on Twitter and giving statuses on their own profiles, you can find out those statuses. Go to those people's posts and make your offer in the comments. If you like that offer, you can get the job. You have to go to Twitter to do the job. Login to your Twitter account and enter this link (https://twitter.com/search-advanced). Use the search option there to find out who is hiring.
Most of the world's buyers find it boring to go to the marketplace and find someone new for their job (just like the job seeker finds it boring to find a job in the marketplace). As in the case of any local job, everyone wants to take someone who is qualified among their acquaintances, because the risk is definitely lower in the case of an acquaintance. In this era of online, there is an opportunity to get acquainted with anyone from any part of the world and social media sites have made that opportunity to get acquainted. Present yourself professionally and professionally on these sites. Social media is a very powerful platform for job hunting. You can get a lot of work from social media such as Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter. Moreover, if you want to get work for graphics, you can join the following two marketplaces.
1) Behance (https://www.behance.net/
2) Dribbble (https://dribbble.com/)
2) Job Search through Blogging : Blogging is one of the powerful means of job search. Through blogging it is possible to prove your work skills to different people. Blogging is very useful for branding yourself or expressing yourself as an expert on the subject you want to work on. When you can brand yourself as an expert to everyone, there is no need to look for work. The buyer will come and offer you the work themselves and that will be at least twice the rate of any marketplace. You can start blogging by guest blogging on famous blogging sites or by creating your own personal blog, which aims at branding your expertise. Blogging will take much less time than you would spend bidding for jobs on the marketplace or searching for jobs. But each of your blog posts will save you for a long time.
3) Through video marketing : Open your own video channel on YouTube and regularly upload your own videos related to the related work you are good at. You need to create such videos, so that watching it will make others think of you as an expert in that work. The task of bringing this video to the first search of YouTube should also be done. Otherwise, the video will not be noticed by many people. If more people don't watch your video, the objective will not be successful ie you will not get the job.
4) Get work through presentation slides : There is a site called slideshare (slideshare.net) where power point presentations are uploaded. The links of this site are easily ranked in Google. This site is popular with Google. It is also popular with many people. And that's why a lot of people from different countries of the world come to this site regularly and search for things according to their needs. That's why he made a plan of his own. Post at least 2 presentations per month on this site. The content of this presentation will surely be useful to others. But in the last slide of the presentation, you can advertise the job. Even in this way, I have seen many people get work.
5) By creating a portfolio site and doing SEO : If you create a portfolio site and bring that website to the first place in the Google search results with specific keywords, you can get work from there. In that case the website has to be acceptable to everyone first. Such websites depend more on ranking as well as traffic engagement. And if you join work in this way, you will continue to get work for the rest of your life.
6) Through email marketing : If you have basic knowledge about email marketing, find a way to communicate with different companies and mail them regularly with offers. Build relationships with them. A lot of work is available in this way. This method is more effective if you want to get work on a large scale. Everyone wants to build a big IT company in the future. For those who want this, this method is more effective. However, creating a professional portfolio website first will yield better results.
7) Through forum posting : Many people think that writing is not possible for you. So the idea of getting a job by blogging will not be of use to you. I don't think how to express my skills on social media, they can express their skills in front of everyone by posting on forums. Even if you are looking for topics to write in blogging, you don't have to get into that trouble in the forum. Because here the answers to the questions of different people should be made attractive. If you answer on a specific topic regularly, your expertise on that topic is revealed to everyone, that is, your branding becomes about that expertise. I have already discussed the benefits of branding yourself. Whichever way you go about looking for work, make sure to create a portfolio of your work. Because the buyer will be interested in giving work only after seeing the works in this portfolio. The buyer will definitely want to see your previous work before giving you the job.
